Upon entering the Burgus System you receive a distress call from the Romulans requesting assistance against a Borg scout force. These should be fairly easy to dispatch, just aim and shoot. <INFORMATION ON WHAT BORG SHIPS ARE FIGHTING IS NEEDED>
After the Borg attack group has been destroyed, you will receive a message from Commander Taelus, informing you that her ship (the I.R.W. Areinneye) has been boarded and that the ships self-destruct has been disabled. The crew has retreated to the main science lab. Assemble your away team and beam down.
The biggest threat you'll face on this mission is a few heavy tactical drones, so bring moderate fire-power and a healer. I didn't bring and engineer on this mission, but one might not have gone amiss.
Your primary goal once beaming down will be to rescue five of the Romulan crew members, each one surrounded by a group of Borg. These groups will usually consist of several standard drones, a heavy tactical drone and one or two medical drones (as well as a standard tactical drone or two). They shouldn't prove too difficult to take care of, but remember to watch out for proto-drones that may beam in during a battle.
It's best to prioritise here when fighting the Borg; the bigger and more obvious heavy tactical drone may look like the first thing you want to get rid of, but remember that it may take a little while, and at the same time you're taking fire from all of the other drones. Get rid of the weaker ones and save the heavy ones for last.
At the start the are three accessible chamber (including the first one). Going counter-clock wise from the beam-in chamber, there is one Romulan in the first chamber, two in the second, and two in the third. Also note that there are two corridors leading from the first chamber to each of the others; these corridors are patrolled by a group of standard Borg. Nothing to be worried about, but be on your guard.
After rescuing all five crew members, you will contacted again by Commander Teleus. She tells you that her group is holed up in the science lab and that you should meet her there. There is a corridor leading to the science lab to the north-west of chamber three. This corridor is also patrolled by a group of standard Borg units. Just shoot them down and continue on your way.
Upon reaching the science lab your objective will become to defend it against the Borg. Four groups will beam in, in total, each after you have defeated the previous one. The groups will consist of a heavy tactical drone and an assortment of others (standard drones, medical drones or standard tactical drones). Just use the same strategy of taking out the smaller ones first (this should be easier, as Commander Taelus and her group usually distract a few of them).
Once all four groups have been defeated, you will be asked by Commander Taelus to return to your ship immediately, and not to approach any of the research, which she maintains is property of the Romulan Empire. Before you beam out your objective will become to scan two of the devices on the research panels. Upon scanning them you will discover that they are pieces of salvaged Borg technology, and Taelus once again asks you to leave.
When you beam back to your ship, Taelus will contact you again. She informs you that a Borg squadron is approaching at high speed and asks that you keep them occupied while she and her crew repair their engines. Here you will have three choiced of dialoge:
1 - "You get your engines running; we'll fight the Borg"
2 - "We'll be taking that Borg technology. Energise transporters"
3 - "We can't let you escape with Borg technology. It's too dangerous"
I personally chose the third option <information on the other two needed>. After fighting off the first attack, a second attack force consisting of two Borg cubes will enter the system.
You must skirmish with one or two of them for short while before an unidentified ship enters the system as well. This new ship resembles a skeletal structure and utilises anti-proton weaponry. Within a few seconds the Borg ships will be destroyed and you'll be contacted by the ship.
The name is listed as "Obex", and their communication reads "Look upon us and tremble". The ship then leaves the system and your mission is complete! You'll be informed, before completion that the closest match to the unidentified ship was a vessel last seen in the Iconian System.
