Fleet Meeting

Alright guys, there's no delaying this any more; it's been far too long already. The fleet meeting (previously referred to as staff meeting) will take place in Star Trek Online on August 7th, 9:00 pm GMT time. It's open to all members, including Cadets.

Just add or subtract your time zone hour from the GMT time. Folk from places such as Britain and Ireland, remember that daylight savings is in effect, so you're not on GMT at the moment, you're at +1. This time may force some people to stay up late, or wake up early, but you're under no obligation to do so. You will of course have to if you want to attend the meeting.

As previously mentioned in other posts, this meeting is a time for all fleet members to come together to discuss fleet activity, promotions, recruitment, events and other things that members want to et off their chest. The meeting will start off with a little speech from the Fleet Admiral and a few specific issues will be brought up shortly after. Once these have been addressed the floor is then open for other fleet members to ask their questions, if they have any. After that we'll just sit around and chat for a while, perhaps go out and blow something to close the event.

The meeting will take place on the Flagship of the current Commander-in-Chief (the Fleet Admiral), and will likely be in the lounge (which is now possible thanks to the new Season 2 update ). Feel free to ask any questions...

I can make the meeting however i maybe a little late as i start my nightshift @9pm and it'll be at least 15 to 20 minutes for me to get set up and online. I may be delayed in responding to any questions directed to me as i'll be working (well answering the phone if it rings) and just to confirm this will be 10pm uk time? or 9pm uk time? i always get it wrong lol

In answer to your question Skip, it would be 10pm UK time. Damn daylights savings, not only is it completely unnecessary, but it's confusing too! I've been late or early for work more than once in my lifetime, but then maybe I'm just a little stupid .

Don't worry about the potential slow response time, by the way, it's just a friendly fleet get-together to discuss a few things.

I would appreciate a few RSVPs from people who will be attending (as Skip & Kee have done), just to see if the timing is appropriate for most people and to gauge how many people will be coming.

If i work the time out correctly it'll be about 7am on sunday the 8th for me as i'm 10hrs ahead of GMT so i should be online. Looking forward to it all i need to do now is get the S2 patch and I'm set.

Quite. Personally I don't have a problem with it; but until we move to a new forum we have to keep the board as clean as possible under the ProBoards terms of service. I ask you to just bear with it, until we can get a new forum paid for and set up.

I know; it's a little draconian. We just have to stick with it for a little while until we can arrange for other forums to be set up. We're going to prioritise a new forum over the website, so it'll be open before the site goes live...
