How is everyone feeling about upcoming season two? Should be out within the next 2-3 weeks. Personally I'd be interested to see exactly what's involved in "Improved Ship Interiors". I'm a firm advocate for anything that improves interiors; rather hoping for something beyond the bridge. Although having said that, I wouldn't mind certain bridge improvements. Perhaps a little more interactivity? The option to customise the crew uniform wouldn't go amiss either. What's everyone else looking forward to?

I wouldn't mind seeing them add a new daily mission where you can accumulate badges of some kind or medals. For right now the only was is with daily exploration or head to head and head to head, I am not a fan of.
I don't think that "improved" interiors would make the game experience that much better for me though. More missions and end of game content is what I am after.

Point for the end-game content, Kee. I suppose my real desire for improved interiors stems from the fact that they feel a little unfinished at the moment; it just bugs me a little bit I suppose.
But I'd definitely like a little more content for RAs. I'm quite looking forward to the raised level cap as well. The diplomatic/first contact missions look promising, insofar as new missions are concerned.

I agree with both of you, somethings just feel a little unfinished or is it that the guys at criptic are holding back a little something to keep it interesting.
Personally I'd like a mission similar the TNG Episode "Disaster" so that you have to use your ship as the mission. On the RA5 missions a few adjustments like being able to complete the team missions with fewer people, I hate waiting around for enough people to turn up, sort of ruins the game for me. (still haven't completed the last 2 missions due to this)
Being able to use the shuttlecraft would be fun too. ;D

Definitely being able to complete missions with fewer than 5 people would be a great feature. I have yet to do many of the end of game missions due to this, plus the fact they take so long when no one co-operates with you.
Shuttle-crafts would kick ass. I suppose they could do a mission where you and one of your officers had to go it alone in a shuttle.

I don't think that Season Two can come quickly enough. Next week almost seems to far away. I am in definite need of some fresh game material or at the very least some new dailies.

Well, Maintenance has started and Season Two is now officially on it's way to becoming live. I'm only 2/3's of the way through Captain 2, so it will be a bit still before I get to experience the new content (albeit I still have quite a bit of Cardassian/Dominion and Borg content that's new to me).
I am enjoying tier 4 so far, and looking forward to tier 5 and onward. It should definitely be fun playing around with ship interiors, trying out the refit defiant (and the other refits when my Science and Engineering characters get that high), and doing the FDC and Undine missions.
All in all, I'm glad I gave STO a second chance and Season Two just looks to make that feeling even more pronounced.

Absolutely Sym, I can hardly wait to try out some of the refit ships. In my opinion, the some of the best ships in the Star Trek universe we used for the lower tiers, and though the Maelstrom class escort that I've been flying is nothing to scoff about, I'm quite looking forward to being able to fly re-fits.
To think that it's only a few hours away, too! I just hope that Cryptic has sorted all the bugs out before they release this one; the two Season One updates were a little buggy with release (The whole squad support system still doesn't work properly, and has caused a few issues for fleet events in the past).
Welcome to the forum, by the way Sym, hope you enjoy your time here!

Now that Season 2 is out, how is everyone feeling about it? D'ya think it lived up to expectations?

I'm hoping to be able to answer that question a bit better after tonight. I'm currently in the process of finishing up my Borg episodes and an initial run through the B'tran Cluster before moving on to the Undine episodes and getting stuck into the FDC content.
However, barring the lag/rubberbanding, everything that I have tried out seems to be decent enough.
